Bester Service für den besten Standort
Die Wirtschaftsförderung ist eine freiwillige Serviceeinrichtung des Landratsamtes Bamberg für Unternehmen, Gründer und Touristen. Sie identifiziert Entwicklungs- potenziale des Wirtschaftsstandortes
und treibt diese voran. Oberstes Ziel sind der Erhalt und die Schaffung von Arbeits- und Ausbildungsplätzen in der Region. Unter dem Slogan „Bester Service für den besten Standort“ betreut die Wirtschaftsförderung ortsansässige Unternehmen, unterstützt ansiedlungs- interessierte Firmen, vermittelt optimale Gewerbeflächen und -immobilien, in- formiert über Förderprogramme und führt zu unterschiedlichsten Themen Veranstaltungen durch.
Die Wirtschaftsförderung bietet z. B. regelmäßige Sprechtage zu den Themen Unternehmenssicherung und -nachfolge, Gründung, Fördermittel, Energie,
Import-Export oder Öffentliche Aufträge an. Botschafter werben für Bamberg, die Wirtschaftsregion Bamberg-Forchheim (WiR GmbH) oder das IGZ Bamberg mit LAGARDE1. Die Kooperationen zwischen Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft wird im Landkreis großgeschrieben. Auch die bekannten Bamberger Ausbildungs- und Studienmessen werden von der Wirt- schaftsförderung mitorganisiert.
Die Wirtschaftsförderung ist ebenfalls Anlauf-, Beratungs- und Informationsstelle für die heimische Tourismuswirtschaft, setzt Tourismusprojekte in enger Koope- ration mit der Stadt Bamberg und den regionalen Tourismusverbänden um und betreibt klassisches Tourismusmarketing mittels eigener Printprodukte, dem Internetauftritt oder dem Tourenportal Vianovis sowie bei Messebeteiligungen.
The District of Bamberg as a Business Location
The district of Bamberg is the most important business location in Upper Franconia and serves as a pacemaker and trendsetter thanks to the local companies that make a conscious decision in favour of this location. The companies tend to
be small and medium-sized, but there are also some global players producing in the region. There is a healthy mix of industries with a focus on automotive supply, metal and electronics, mechanical engineering, plastics and logistics. Aside from these, the region also offers the food industry and the brewing trade a traditional and future-oriented environment.
The district of Bamberg impresses with its continuous growth. The employment rate is the highest in Upper Franconia and exceeds the Bavarian average. The number of businesses has been increa- sing for years and the district has the highest number of business registrations in Upper Franconia.
Economic Development Department
The Economic Development Department is a service facility of the Bamberg District Office for companies and start-ups. It supports local businesses, assists compa- nies interested in setting up in the area, finds the best commercial sites and real estate and provides information about funding programmes. Offering regular consultation days, the Economic Develop- ment Department provides information on topics such as business security and suc- cession, foundation, subsidies, energy, import-export or public contracts. It is also a contact, advisory and information point for the local tourism industry. The well- known Bamberg training and study fairs are also co-organised by the Economic Development Department.
